Lola's Purse

Here is my latest project. A purse I made for my 2-year-old niece Lola Mae Ann. Big kudos to Keyka Lou for an awsome pattern with great instructions. Lola's instructions to me were "Pink with a heart." I think I hit it right on the money.

You will see that I modified the pattern slightly by adding a strap (also one of Lola's requirements.) It was a little sloppy in execution because I forgot about it until the end. If I do another one, it needs to be put in when joining all of the pieces before turning.

I got these really cute labels to put in the stuff I make. I couldn't find the exact versions on the web. But I did find these, which are very close. They have some cute designs.

So there it is, Lola's purse. It took me about 2 hours, a$6 pattern, and about $3.50 in materials, but Lola's smile is priceless . . . and that is payment enough for Auntie Amy!!

As always,

So begins Amy.Be.Loved . . .

My facebook has become inundated with my new hobby. Sewing. I find myself posting more and more photos about my projects. So, I thought, why not blog about them? Why not explain them more as I go through them instead of just showing pictures when they are done?

So begins Amy.Be.Loved. My little slice of my new love, sewing.

As soon as I figure out this blog thing, I will tell you about one of my complete projects. This weekend I will be starting on something new with my sister.

Until then,
